The 50 bp DNA ladder consists of 10 liner double stranded DNA bands of 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450 and 500 base pairs.  This Gen-50 DNA ladder is specially prepared for visualizing of the DNA fragments on the gel. The intensity of 300 bp band has been increased to yield reference indicator.

Recommended Loading : 2.5-5 μl,  > 2% agarose gel. 3:1 agarose gel is preferable for better rsolution.

Quality Control:                                                  

1)    Agarose gel analysis shows that the bands between 50 bp and 500 bp are distinguishable. All bands must form a gradient.

2)    Incubation of 5 µl of the Gen-50 DNA ladder in restriction enzyme buffer overnight at 37℃ shows absence of visible degradation.
